## Account & Login

### Q: Can I add another login method to my account?

A:
Yes. You can add additional login methods at any time:
• Social login users (Google/Apple) can set up Email login via "Set Up" in account settings
• Email users can connect Google or Apple accounts

Note: When connecting a social account, the email address must match your current account email.

### Q: Can I remove a login method?

A:
Yes, but you must keep at least one login method.

If you have multiple login methods (e.g., Google + Email), you can disconnect any of them—as long as one remains active.

If you only have one login method, the "Disconnect" button will be disabled to prevent account lockout.

### Q: Can I change my email address?

A:
It depends on your login method:

• Email only: Yes, you can change your email in account settings
• Email + Social (Google/Apple): No, disconnect social login first
• Social only: No, your email is managed by Google/Apple

If you signed up with Google or Apple, your email is tied to that provider and cannot be changed within PeckPerk.

### Q: I signed up with Google/Apple. Can I add Email login?

A:
Yes! You can add Email login to your social account:

1. Go to Account Settings → Login & Security
2. Click "Set Up" next to Email
3. Create a password for your account

After setup, you can log in using either method. You can then disconnect the social login if you prefer.

### Q: What if I forget my password?

A:
• Email users: Use "Forgot Password" on the login page to receive a reset email
• Social login users: No password to reset—simply log in with Google/Apple

If you added Email login to a social account and forgot the password, you can still log in via Google/Apple, then change your password in settings.

### Q: Why can't I disconnect my Google/Apple account?

A:
You cannot disconnect if:

1. It's your only login method—add Email login first, then disconnect
2. You must keep at least one login method to prevent account lockout

To disconnect: Add another login method first, then you can remove the social account.

## App Features

### Q: App is slow or freezes when enlarging images, how to fix it?

A:
Here are a few steps you can try:
1. Clear app cache regularly.
2. Ensure phone storage isn't full.
3. Update to the latest version.

### Q: How many people can view the camera?

A:
Up to 4 users can view the camera. You can check connected users under Settings > Sharing. A device can only be bound to one master account, which allows multiple mobile devices to watch live video from the same device by means of a share code. To share the camera, tap the gear icon (⚙️) in device settings, choose "Share" and click "Device sharing" to generate the sharing code. Family members in the "Home" interface in the upper right corner of the plus sign and the code can be scanned!

### Q: How to reset my password?

A:
On the login page, click "Forgot Password" and enter your registered email. Check your inbox for reset instructions.

### Q: My family member can't scan the QR code to join—what's the fix?

A:
Here are a few steps you can try:
1. Make sure you're using a stable 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (PeckPerk does NOT support 5GHz).
2. Reset the feeder: Double press the top button until lights flash, then re-add the device.
3. If the issue continues, uninstall the app and reinstall it from the official source.

### Q: How can I share the camera with someone else?

A:
Ensure that the WiFi band is 2.4GHz.
To scan the code:
1. Main account owner tap the gear icon (⚙️) in device settings.
2. Choose "Share" and click "Device sharing" to generate the sharing code.
3. Family members in the "Home" interface in the upper right corner of the plus sign and the code can be scanned!

### Q: Can I log into the same account on multiple phones?

A:
Logging in on different phones with the same account will log out the previous session.

### Q: I changed phones—How to transfer my account?

A:
1. In the "Me" interface, click the profile icon at the top right corner.
2. Click "Log out" to sign out of the account and log in on another phone and connect to the feeder.

### Q: Why the app shows a blank screen?

A:
Please make sure you're using the latest version of the PeckPerk app.
For iOS users: Download from Apple App Store.
For Android users: Download the latest APK from www.peckperk.com.
Clear the app cache (via phone settings), reinstall, then log in again.

### Q: Can I add more than one device to my account?

A:
Yes, you can add more than one device to your account.
On the "Me" interface, slide the device image and click Add Device.
If more than one device is connected, swipe on the "Home" screen to view other devices.
You can also click the plus sign in the upper right corner in the "Home" interface and repeat the above steps.

### Q: What is the "Squirrel Repelling" feature?

A:
1. The "Squirrel Repelling" activates sound alarms when a squirrel is detected.
2. To turn ON/OFF: Settings > Advanced Features > Squirrel Repelling.
3. Free for all users. Note: Some squirrels may not be easily scared.

### Q: Where can I see the history of identified birds?

A:
On the album interface, select Achievements at the top to go to the collection page. You can see the activated bird illustrations.

### Q: Why no notifications?

A:
To make sure you get notifications, here are a few things to check:
1. Open the PeckPerk app. Tap the gear icon (⚙️) to go to Settings. Find "Notification" Settings. Switch on "AI Recognition".
2. Turn on "Motion Detection" in the app settings and make sure the sensitivity is set to 'Mid' or 'High'.
3. Go to your phone's Settings > Tap Notifications > PeckPerk > Turn Allow Notifications ON. Choose your preferred alert style (Lock Screen, Banners, etc.)

### Q: How to set up squirrel repelling?

A:
Tap the gear icon (⚙️) to enter Settings.
1. Click "Audio Setting" and adjust the volume.
2. Scroll down to find "Squirrel Repelling" and toggle it on.

### Q: How to format the SD card?

A:
Insert the SD card then connect the device. After that, go to the device settings in the app, select "SD Card Management", where you will find the "Format SD Card" option.

### Q: How to adjust motion detection sensitivity?

A:
Adjust motion detection sensitivity under Settings > Motion Detection. Click the gear icon (⚙️) to enter Settings and select "Motion Detection" to adjust motion detection sensitivity.

### Q: How to enable storage permission?

A:
For Android users:
1. Open the "Settings" app on your phone.
2. Find and tap "App Management" or "Apps & Permissions".
3. Select the PeckPerk app.
4. Find and tap "Permission Management".
5. Find "Storage" or "File Access" and turn on the permission.

For iOS users:
1. Tap "Settings" > "Privacy".
2. Scroll down and tap "Photos" or "Files".
3. Find PeckPerk and allow access to photos or files.

### Q: Why can't I find saved videos?

A:
1. Ensure that the storage permission is enabled.
2. In the app, go to the "Playback" section and select a date to view the automatically recorded videos.
3. Screenshots and recorded videos during the live broadcast will be automatically saved to the album interface. Please select a specific date to locate the corresponding video.

### Q: How to delete photos/videos?

A:
To delete photos or videos from the app:
* Go to the album interface.
* Find the photos or videos you want to delete in All or Day.
* Tap the "Select" button in the upper right corner.
* Check the photos or videos you want to delete.
* Click "Delete" on the action bar below.

To delete a video at playback:
* Connect your device and click on the device icon with "live".
* Enter the playback page and select the specific date of the video you want to delete.
* Click 'Edit' in the upper right corner.
* Select the video you want to delete and click "Delete" at the bottom.

### Q: What is the "Collect" or "Favorites" feature for?

A:
Collect photographed birds and highlight the corresponding images at Achievements to help you quickly find the birds you've photographed and share them with your friends.

### Q: Where are videos saved?

A:
Recorded videos will be automatically saved to the storage path authorized by the app but not to your phone, for example, SD card and cloud space are turned on, the videos will be automatically saved to SD card and cloud space. You can download videos to your phone by selecting them in the album.

### Q: How to manually take photos/videos?

A:
To take photos/videos:
1. Tap into the live screen, in landscape mode, there are buttons on the right side of the live interface to take photos and record videos.
2. In the vertical screen page, you can also look for the "Take Photo" and "Recording" buttons at the bottom of the live page to take photos and record videos.

### Q: How to update the app?

A:
Apple users download the latest version at the App Store.
Android users have the latest version of the apk file at Google Play or the official website.

### Q: How to adjust night vision?

A:
Make sure the device is connected, click on the small gear to enter the device settings, in the "Video Settings" you can click on the Night Vision Mode to select the color of the night vision (full color/black and white). Click "Auto Night Vision" to turn off or turn on the Night vision.

### Q: How to check firmware version?

A:
If you want to view the firmware information, click on the device icon in the device settings to view, the tap the gear icon (⚙️) in device settings.

### Q: How to share the device with another family member?

A:
In the device settings, tap the gear icon (⚙️) in device settings, choose "Share" and click "Device sharing" to generate the sharing code. Family members in the "Home" interface in the upper right corner of the plus sign and the code can be scanned!

### Q: How to start the live video feed?

A:
1. Make sure the wifi is 2.4GHz band.
2. Click on the "live" logo under the picture of the feeder in the "Home" interface.
3. Click on the play button in the middle of the picture under the Smart Feeder to start the real-time picture viewing.

### Q: Where are the playback videos saved?

A:
1. Click on the picture screen of the device in the "Me" interface, the automatically recorded video will be stored in the Playback section.
2. Select the date and confirm in order to view the video on a specific date.

### Q: How to download videos to mobile phone?

A:
Videos from playback:
1. Click on the picture screen of the device in the "Me" interface, the automatically recorded video will be stored in the Playback section.
2. Select the date and confirm in order to view the video on a specific date.
3. Tap the "Select" button in the top right corner and choose the video(s) you want to download.
4. Click the download button at the bottom.

1. Select the date and find videos you want to download.

### Q: Where are screenshots saved?

A:
1. Ensure the app has permission to access storage/photos in phone settings.
2. In-app snapshots will go to the app's internal Album.
3. In the "Album" interface, you can choose date to find it.

### Q: The live view won't load, what should I do?

A:
1. Confirm battery is above 20% and Wi-Fi is stable.
2. Ensure the app is up to date.
3. Clear cache and restart the app or reinstall.

### Q: Can multiple users watch live at the same time?

A:

### Q: Playback videos fail to load—what's the solution?

A:
The playback function can be seen when you enter the device settings, which is a small gear icon (⚙️).
1. Make sure that you select a specific date and confirm it at playback before the automatically recorded video is loaded.
2. Ensure your Wi-Fi connection is stable.
3. Try to restart the app.

### Q: Can I view the live feed remotely from outside my home?

A:
Yes! To view the live feed remotely.
1. You can also click on the device image labeled "Live" in the app "Home" screen to go to the device features page to view instant video.
2. If the live view won't load, confirm the battery is above 20% and Wi-Fi is stable.
3. Ensure the app is up to date. Clear cache and restart the app or reinstall.

### Q: I get notifications but no video is saved, what can I do?

A:
1. Go to Settings > Motion Detection > set video duration to 20 seconds and interval to 1 or 15 mins.
2. Ensure an SD card is installed correctly in the top camera slot.
3. Check the "Playback" section for saved footage and select a specific date and click "Confirm" to load the footage for that day properly.
4. Try turning down the motion sensitivity by tapping the gear icon (⚙️) and choosing Motion sensitivity.
5. Ensure that the storage permission is enabled.

### Q: Video recordings are blurry, what can I do?

A:
1. Go to Settings > Video Quality > change to "High" (2K).
2. Re-record videos for improved clarity.

### Q: How to share a video on social media?

A:
1. Recorded and filmed photos during live stream are automatically saved to the album interface, download photos or videos from the photo page to your phone.
2. Click the gear icon (⚙️) to enter Settings. Choose the date and confirm to find videos. Download videos to album.
3. Upload videos in your Phone gallery to share on social media.

### Q: How to increase recording time?

A:
To make your playback videos longer, you'll need to adjust the Motion Detection Duration setting in the app. Here's how:
1. Open the app and go to your device.
2. Tap the Settings icon (⚙️).
3. Go to Motion Detection.
4. Find "Duration" and set it to 20 seconds.
This will tell the camera to record up to 20 seconds whenever motion is detected, as long as movement continues.

### Q: How to set auto-recording after AI detection?

A:
1. Click on the small gear to enter the device settings.
2. Turn on motion detection for motion sensing, ai recognition under advanced features for AI recognition and ai recognition under notification to receive recognition messages.

## Connection & Setup

### Q: Why does my feeder keep disconnecting?

A:
Here are a few steps you can try:
* Make sure you're using a stable 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (PeckPerk does NOT support 5GHz).
* Reset the feeder: Double press the top button until lights flash, then re-add the device.
* If the issue continues, uninstall the app and reinstall it from the official source.
* Fully charge the feeder indoors with the top charging port on the camera. Even if the battery shows 99%, the reading may not be accurate if the feeder has lost connection.
* After fully charging, double-press the power button to reset the feeder and try reconnecting in the app. If that doesn't work, turn the feeder off and then on again, and attempt to reconnect.

### Q: How to confirm if my wifi frequency is 2.4GHz?

A:
For Android users:
1. Open Settings > WLAN (or Wi-Fi).
2. Click the name of the connected network.
3. See if "Band" or "Frequency" is displayed in the details.

For iOS users:
1. Open Settings > Wi-Fi and long press on the connected network → Copy Router Name.
2. Use Safari to access the router backend address (e.g. 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1), log in and check the band information shown in the wireless settings.

### Q: How to reset the device?

A:
Quickly double-click the power button, hear the "Dong-Ding" beep and see the light blinking, it means the reset is successful.

### Q: How to pair with QR code?

A:
To use the QR code method for pairing:
1. Click "+ Add Now" in the "Home" interface.
2. Select the bird feeding device.
3. Confirm the device is on.
4. Check "I heard the sound or saw the light on", then click Next.
5. Select "Scan code binding".
6. Select the Wi-Fi network for the device, then click "Next".
7. Wait a few seconds and place the generated QR code at a distance of 15-30cm from the camera.
8. After a successful connection, the app will return to the "Home" interface, and the camera will be connected.
You can also click the plus sign in the upper right corner in the "Home" interface and repeat the above steps.

### Q: What does "binding timeout" mean and How to solve it?

A:
It is possible that the distance between the mobile terminal and the unstable wifi connection prevent the camera from being recognized, try to restart the device and the app, re-generate QR code.

### Q: How to unbind device?

A:
To unbind a device:
1. Click the gear icon (⚙️) to enter Settings.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page in device settings and click "Remove Camera".
3. Alternatively, you can quickly double-click the power button until you hear a "Dong-Ding" beep and see the light blinking, which means the reset is successful.

Note that switching the account binding of the device will cause premium to take effect, and only the premium function of a specific device binding to a specific account will take effect.

### Q: How to reconnect device to a new Wi-Fi?

A:
Make sure the wifi is 2.4G band and can cover the device, click the small gear to enter the device settings page, click "Remove Camera" at the bottom of the page to disconnect from the device, and then reconnect to the device by QR code to input new wifi.

A:
Try reconnect the device:
1. Double click the power button to reset the device, hear the DongDing beep and the camera blinking that the reset is successful.
2. Remove the device in the client, regenerate the QR code and connect it to the camera.

### Q: How to reconnect live stream?

A:
Here are a few steps you can try:
1. Fully charge the feeder indoors with the top charging port on the camera. Even if the battery shows 99%, the reading may not be accurate if the feeder has lost connection.

### Q: How to add a new device?

A:
To add a new device, you can click "+ Add Now" on the "Home" interface, select the corresponding bird feeding device, and confirm turning on the device. Wait until you hear the startup sound or see the device's startup light, then click "I heard the sound or saw the light on", and click the Next button. Select "Scan code binding", choose to overwrite the Wi-Fi name and password of the bird watching device, and click "Next". After a few seconds, place the generated QR code 15-30 cm away from the camera as instructed. Once the connection is successful, the app will jump back to the Home interface and display the device icon. You can also click the plus sign in the upper right corner in the "Home" interface and repeat the above steps.

To connect your device via bluetooth:
1. Power on the Camera, when you hearing "Ding Ding Ding Ding" Please click "Add Camera Now".
2. Bluetooth will find the device nearby.
3. Select WiFi, enter the correct password, and click "Next Step".
4. You will hear "Connection Succeeded" and "the WiFi connect succeeded".

### Q: How to switch between devices?

A:
1. You can also click the plus sign in the upper right corner in the "Home" interface to connect other devices.
2. If more than one device are connected, swipe on the "Home" screen to view other devices.

### Q: Where's the QR code to add another phone?

A:

### Q: My solar panel cord was damaged. What can I do?

A:
1. We offer a worry-free 30-day return and exchange policy. Please send your order number and detail information to our support team at support@peckperk.com and we will check whether your order is still within the free return & exchange period.
2. If it is, we'd be happy to send you a replacement at no cost. If the warranty period has passed, there may be a charge for replacement.

### Q: How to replace the battery?

A:
The battery is not user-replaceable.
We offer a worry-free 30-day return and exchange policy. If your battery is damaged, feel free to send your order number to our support team at support@peckperk.com. They'll help check whether your order is still within the free return & exchange period.
If it is, we'd be happy to send you a replacement at no cost. If the warranty period has passed, there may be a small charge for a new battery.

### Q: Why feeder won't hold charge?

A:
1. If charged but stuck at low battery, the battery display might not synchronize.
2. It's suggested to reset the device and check again.
3. Please update the device via the app or restart it.

### Q: What do charging lights mean?

A:
You can check if the battery is charging by opening the app:
1. Click into Settings (the small gear icon ⚙️)
2. Check both the battery level and Wi-Fi signal strength displayed at the top.
3. Use the included charging cable and plug it into the charging port on top of the camera (this one is better suited for indoor wall outlet voltage).
4. The back charging port is mainly for connecting to a solar panel outdoors.
5. The indicator light should be steady yellow light while charging, and Solid Green when the feeder finishes charging.

## Premium & AI Features

### Q: When will I receive premium code after paying?

A:
The activation code will be sent to you by support@peckperk.com within 2 days after the purchase. Please check your email inbox or spam/promotion folder.
To activate your premium, tap the Settings button ⚙️, go to Advanced Features, and enter your premium activation code.
Once successfully activated, turn on AI Recognition. Next time a bird visits, you can use our bird identification feature to identify birds or use the AI recognition feature in Playback recordings.

### Q: How to activate the premium?

A:
1. If you get gifted premium by completing the information or purchase premium on the website, we will send you a premium activation code.
2. Go to the personal asset page on the "Me" interface and enter the gifted premium and the purchased premium into the corresponding position to activate it.

### Q: What does AI Bird Recognition do?

A:
1. Identify bird species from video clips to help you quickly learn information about the birds. Learn their habits and rarity.
2. Add them to your list of achievements. Premium is required. Go to Advanced features > Activate AI > Make sure premium is active.

### Q: Does bird recognition require premium?

A:
1. Bird recognition requires a premium subscription to open. You can complete the information or purchase premium on the website to get premium.
2. After confirming premium activation, click the gear icon (⚙️) to enter the device settings and select Advanced Features.
3. Check the premium expiration date to confirm whether premium is activated, open the AI recognition function.

### Q: How to enable AI bird recognition?

A:
1. Confirm that premium has been activated
2. Click the gear icon (⚙️) to enter the device settings and select Advanced Features.
3. Verify Premium activation status under "Premium Expiration Date", check whether AI recognition is turned on.

### Q: AI feature stopped working, how to reactivate AI recognition?

A:
1. Ensure your Wi-Fi connection is stable.
2. Click the gear icon (⚙️) in device settings to check if Premium has expired date to confirm whether the premium expiration.
3. Try restarting AI Recognition below the expiration date.

Make sure you have activated premium, after connecting the device, in the software device settings in the "Advanced Features", if successfully activated, the "premium expiration date" option will prompt that "This device has activated premium privileges!" and show the end date.

### Q: Why some birds can't be recognized?

A:
1. Confirm that premium has been activated. Click the gear icon (⚙️) in device settings to check if Premium has expired date to confirm whether the premium expiration.
2. Ensure your Wi-Fi connection is stable.
3. Try to adjust the recognition sensitivity. Motion detection sensitivity under Settings > Motion Detection.
4. It may be that the bird species is not included in the atlas data, we are quickly improving the atlas.
